Vorschrift

A solution of {4-[3,3-bis-(4-bromo-phenyl)-allylsulfanyl]-2-methyl-phenoxy}-acetic acid methyl ester (530 mg, 0.94 mmol) in ethanol (20 ml) and 1M NaOH (2.0 ml, 2.0 mmol) was stirred at room temp. for 2 h. The reaction mixture added water (20 ml) and 1N HCl (3.0 ml). The water phase was extracted with dichloromethane (2×50 ml) and the combined organic phases were dried with MgSO4, filtered and evaporated to give 482 mg (93%) of {4-[3,3-bis-(4-bromo-phenyl)-allylsulfanyl]-2-methyl-phenoxy}-acetic acid.
