Vorschrift

To a solution of methyl 5-(N-(4-(dimethylcarbamoyl)phenyl)-sulfamoyl)-thiophene-2-carboxylate (Int. 75) (100 mg, 0.271 mmol) in methanol (10 ml), sodium hydroxide 1M (1 ml) was added, and the mixture stirred at RT for 4 days with monitoring the progress of reaction and adding further amounts of NaOH 1M until completion. MeOH was evaporated under reduced pressure and the crude taken up with HCl 1N and AcOEt. The organic phase was dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated under vacuum to give 54 mg of 5-(N-(4-(dimethylcarbamoyl)phenyl)sulfamoyl)thiophene-2-carboxylic acid (Int. 76).
