The title compound was prepared according to the procedure described in step-1 of Intermediate-61 by using N-(2,5-diamino-4-chlorobenzyl)pivalamide (1.5 g, 5.8 mmol), NaNO2 (0.481 g, 6.9 mmol), SnCl2.2H2O (3.20 g, 14.5 mmol), conc. HCl (50 mL) to afford 1.0 g of the desired product. 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO d6): δ 1.11 (s, 9H), 4.44 (m, 2H), 6.53 (m, 1H), 7.18 (m, 1H), 7.99 (m, 1H), 10.23 (s, 1H).
