The title compound was prepared following the procedure A using 4-[(4-butylphenyl)-ethynyl]benzaldehyde and 6-amino-2,2-dimethyl-4H-1,3-benzodioxin-4-one (purification by flash chromatography on SiO2, EtOAc/c-Hex 15/85) as a yellowish solid (53%). 1H NMR (CDCl3) δ: 7.45 (d, J=8.3 Hz, 2H), 7.39 (d, J=8.3 Hz, 2H), 7.28 (d, J=8.3 Hz, 2H), 7.15-7.06 (m, 3H), 6.80-6.70 (m, 2H), 4.20 (s, 2H), 4.04 (brs, 1H), 2.57 (t, J=7.7 Hz, 2H), 1.65 (s, 6H), 1.61-1.49 (m, 2H), 1.37-1.23 (m, 2H), 0.88 (t, J=7.3 Hz, 3H). HPLC, Rt: 6.3 min (purity: 92.2%).
