Vorschrift

A solution of 5-(1,3-benzoxazol-2-yl)-2-methylphenol (0.8 g, 3.5 mmol) and triethylamine (0.6 mL, 4.3 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (20 mL) was cooled to 0° C. and TBDMS-OTf (900 mL, 3.9 mmol) was added. The reaction was slowly warmed to rt and EtOAc (200 mL) was added. The mixture was washed with H2O (3×50 mL), dried (MgSO4), filtered, and concentrated in vacuo to afford 2-(3-{[tert-butyl-(dimethyl)silyl]oxy}-4-methylphenyl)-1,3-benzoxazole as light yellow oil.
