Vorschrift

20.0 g (1 equivalent) of metformin hydrochloride, 50 Ml of water, and 19.72 g (1.2 equivalents) of sodium acetate trihydrate were added to a reactor, and stirred. Then the resulting crystal was filtered and washed with acetone, and then dried at 60° C. to obtain 11.72 g of metformin acetate (yield: 51.3%).
