Vorschrift

13,13-dimethyl-11-phenyl-13H-indeno[1,2-b]anthracene (6.3 g, 0.017 mol) and N-bromosuccinimide (3.76 g, 0.017 mol) were dissolved in carbon tetrachloride (150 ml), and the reaction mixture was stirred under reflux for 4 hours at 60° C. After the reaction was terminated, the reaction solution was extracted with distilled water, and purified by column chromatography to give 6-bromo-13,13-dimethyl-11-phenyl-13H-indeno[1,2-b]anthracene (5.2 g, yield=68%).
