Vorschrift

A solution of 5.8 g (0.022 mol) of 8-chloro-5,10-dihydro-dibenzo[b,e][1,4]diazepin-11-thione in 145 mL of 2-ethoxyethanol was treated with 4.94 g (0.044 mol) of histamine and heated at reflux overnight. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure and the residue taken up in EtOAc and washed three times with H2O, then saturated NaHCO3 solution, then saturated NaCl solution. Drying over MgSO4 and removal of the solvent under reduced pressure left the crude product as a yellow foam. This was dissolved in CH2Cl2 and slowly treated with hexane to give 7.44 g (99.2% yield) of the product as an amorphous yellow solid. The structure was confirmed by NMR and mass spectroscopy. (m+H)+ =338.
