(5-Bromo-2-chloro-pyridin-3-yl)-acetic acid ethyl ester and 2-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-[1,3,2]dioxaborolan-2-yl)-5-trifluoromethyl-benzaldehyde were reacted as described in Example 3, Step 6 to provide [2-chloro-5-(2-formyl-4-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-pyridin-3-yl]-acetic acid ethyl ester.
