Vorschrift

3.48 g (20 mmol) of 5-acetamido-2-mercapto-1,3-thiazole were dissolved in 90 ml of dry DMF, 2.78 g (20 mmol) of bromoacetic acid were added, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 hours. The solvent was then removed in vacuo, and the solid residue was washed with diethyl ether. After recrystallization from isopropanol/diethyl ether, 3.1 g (67%) of the title compound were obtained.
