Vorschrift

The ester from Step 3 (7.76 g) was added to a solution of sodium (920 mg) in anhydrous methanol (50 ml) and the resulting suspension was refluxed under an argon atmosphere for 75 minutes. The mixture was cooled, diluted with CH2Cl2 (200 ml), washed with water (3×50 ml) and reduced to dryness to provide the title compound, m.p. 133°-134.5°.
