Following the procedure for the preparation of 2-[4-(5-Pyridin-4-yl-[1,2,4]triazol-1-yl)-phenoxymethyl]-quinoline but substituting N,N-dimethylacetamide dimethyl acetal provided the title compound. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 8.58 (d, J=6.2 Hz, 2 H), 8.22 (d, J=8.3 Hz, 1 H), 8.08 (d, J=8.3 Hz, 1H), 7.84 (d, J=7.7 Hz, 1H), 7.74 (m, 1 H), 7.65 (d, J=8.3 Hz, 1 H), 7.56 (m, 1 H), 7.36 (d, J=6.2 Hz, 2 H), 7.25 (d, J=9.1 Hz, 2H), 7.09 (d, J=8.7 Hz, 2H), 5.41 (s, 2H), 2.48 (s, 3H); MS: (M+H m/z=394.4).
