2-tert-Butoxy-2-(7-chloro-1-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-methylnaphthalen-2-yl)acetic acid (149) was prepared in a similar manner to 2-(4-bromo-1-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-methylnaphthalen-2-yl)-2-tert-butoxyacetic acid of Example 124, except using ethyl 2-tert-butoxy-2-(7-chloro-1-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-methylnaphthalen-2-yl)acetate, giving the title compound (parent form) 1H-NMR: (400 MHz, DMSO-d6): δ 12.86 (s, broad, 1H), 7.94 (d, J=8.0 Hz, 1H), 7.83 (s, 1H), 7.73-7.67 (m, 2H), 7.56-7.49 (m, 2H), 7.40 (d, J=8.2 Hz, 1H), 7.11 (d, J=1.6 Hz, 1H), 5.00 (s, 1H), 2.57 (s, 3H), 0.93 (s, 9H). LCMS-ESI− (m/z): [M−H]− calcd for C23H21Cl2O3: 415.1; Found: 415.3.
