Vorschrift

To a suspension of (3S)-3-iodotetrahydrofuran [prepared according to the method outline in US2006004018] (1.2 g, 6.061 mmol) and K2CO3 (1.675 g, 12.12 mmol) in DMF (12.00 mL) at ambient temperature was added 4-bromobenzenethiol (1.146 g, 6.061 mmol). The resulting suspension was stirred at this temperature overnight. Water was added and then the aqueous layer extracted with DCM (×3). The combined organic extracts were dried (MgSO4), filtered and concentrated in vacuo to give the sub-title compound as a clear oil which was used directly in the next step without further purification.
