In a manner described in Example 1 above, propargyl alcohol was reacted with 4-bromobiphenyl to give the title compound as white crystals: NMR (CDCl3) δ 4.53 (d, J=4.74, 2H), 7.38 (d, J=7.17, 1H), 7.42-7.60 (m, 8H). MS m/z 208 (M+ calcd. for C15H12O 208).
