Vorschrift

m-Aminophenol(13.23 g, 0.12 mol) and 4-hydroxyphthalic acid (16.98 g, 0.09 mol) are allowed to react in refluxing acetic acid as described above. The product (21.6 g, 91%), collected as a tan solid, is recrystallized from methanol to give 18.5 g of pale yellow powder [mp 270° C. differential scanning calorimetry] having the following structure: ##STR7##
