Amide coupling of 3-methyl-benzofuran-2-carboxylic acid with 4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-[1,3,2]dioxaborolan-2-yl)-phenylamine was done according to Example 20, Step 4, to give 3-methyl-benzofuran-2-carboxylic acid [4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-[1,3,2]dioxaborolan-2-yl)-phenyl]-amide in 55% yield. 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ ppm 1.3 (s, 12 H) 2.6 (s, 3 H) 7.4 (m, 1 H) 7.5 (m, 1 H) 7.7 (m, 3 H) 7.8 (d, J=7.3 Hz, 1 H) 7.9 (d, J=8.6 Hz, 2 H) 10.5 (s, 1 H).
