Vorschrift

7.1 g of 3-bromo-2-methyl-6-methylsulfonylbenzaldoxime (23 mmol) are stirred at 65° C. in a mixture of 17 g of 5% strength hydrochloric acid, 2 g of 37% strength formaldehyde solution, 15 ml of water and 30 ml of tetrahydrofuran for 32 hours. During this time, a further 3.5 g of 37% strength formaldehyde solution are added in portions of 0.5 g. The mixture is then cooled to room temperature and the product is filtered off with suction. This gives 5.1 g (79%) of product, purity 94% (according to GC).
