Vorschrift

5-bromo-2-methoxy-3-trifluoromethylbenzaldehyde (66.19 g) was dissolved in n-hexane (130 mL) and triethyl orthoformate (51 mL), and Amberlyst-15 (6.62 g) was added to the solution, and then the mixture was refluxed for 3 hours. The reaction solution was filtered, and then the solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure to obtain the title compound (82.81 g) as a brown oily substance.
