Dicyclohexylmethanol (8-1) (4.91 g, 25 mmol) and ethyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (8-2) (4.15 g, 25 mmol) were reacted, as in Example 6, Step B, to obtain a colorless oil 8-3 after chromatography. 1H NMR (CDCl3): δ 0.98-1.3 (11H, m), 1.36 (3H, t), 1.58-1.86 (11H, m), 4.02 (1H, t), 4.33 (2H, q), 6.92 (2H, d), 7.94 (2H, d).
