4-(4-Bromo-2-fluorophenylamino)-1,5-dimethyl-6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridine-3-carboxylic acid hydroxyamide was prepared from 4-(4-bromo-2-fluorophenylamino)-1,5-dimethyl-6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridine-3-carboxylic acid tert-butoxy-amide by TFA deprotection as described in Example 37. MS APCI (+) m/z 370, 372 (M+, Br pattern) detected; 1H NMR (400 MHz, CD3OD) δ 7.88 (s, 1H), 7.32 (dd, 1H), 7.20 (dd, 1H), 6.61 (t, 1H), 3.56 (s, 3H), 1.77 (s, 3H).
