Vorschrift

A mixture of 5.3 g of 2,6-di-tert-butyl-1,4-benzoquinone, 2.1 g of 3-aminopyrazole and 16 drops of acetic acid was heated with stirring at 110° C for 15 minutes. The reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature, and then purified by silica gel column chromatography (eluent: diethyl ether-chloroform=1:20), giving 5.5 g of 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-(3-pyrazolylimino)-2,5-cyclohexadien-1-one (Compound 34a) as a pale red solid.
