Intermediate 3 was coupled with 2-(4-Methoxy-3-methyl-phenyl)-ethylamine following procedure F. The resulting product was deprotected by procedure G. LC-MS showed the product had the expected M+H+ of 434. 1H NMR (Varian 300 MHz, CD3OD, shifts relative to the solvent peak at 3.3 ppm) δ 8.4 (m, 2H) 8.0 (s, 1H) 7.6-7.8 (m, 2H) 7.47 (d, 1H) 6.82 (d, 1H) 6.67 (m, 2H) 4.5 (s, 2H) 3.81 (s, 3H) 3.4 (m, 4H) 3.28 (m, 4H) 3.03 (t, 2H) 2.68 (t, 2H) 2.16 (m, 2H) 1.4 (t, 3H).
