Vorschrift

A solution of EXAMPLE 59A (0.25 g) in tetrahydrofuran (3 mL) was cooled to −78° C. butyllithium was (0.48 mL) added dropwise. Additional tetrahydrofuran (2 mL) was added and the reaction mixture was stirred for 1 hour at −78° C. To the reaction mixture was added iodomethane (0.08 mL) in one portion and the reaction was allowed to warm to 0° C. After 30 minutes, the reaction was diluted with ether (50 mL), washed with water (30 mL) and brine (30 mL), dried over magnesium sulfate, filtered, and concentrated. Silica gel chromatography eluting with a gradient of 3% to 20% ethyl acetate/hexanes provided the title compound.
