Vorschrift

To a suspension of trans-4-(aminomethyl)cyclohexanecarboxylic acid (6.29 g) in methanol (32 mL) is added dropwise thionyl chloride (6 mL) under ice-cooling and the mixture is stirred at room temperature overnight. The reaction mixture is concentrated in vacuo to give methyl trans-4-(aminomethyl)cyclohexanecarboxylate hydrochloride (8.69 g). MS (APCI) m/z: 172 [M+H]+
