Vorschrift

4.5 G. of 2,4-diamino-5-(4-isopropenyl-3,5-dimethoxybenzyl)-pyrimidine and 1.9 g. of 72.5% lactic acid were dissolved in 250 ml. of water. The solution was filtered, concentrated to half volume, cooled and the crystalline 2,4-diamino-5-(4-isopropenyl-3,5-dimethoxybenzyl)-pyrimidine lactate, melting point 287°-290° C. (decomposition), was removed by filtration under suction.
