Vorschrift

Dissolve 5.0 gm. of 5-epigentamicin C1 in 25 ml. of water and adjust the pH of the solution to 4.5 with 1 N sulfuric acid. Pour into about 300 ml. of methanol with vigorous agitation, continue the agitation for about 10-20 minutes and filter. Wash the precipitate with methanol and dry at about 60° C in vacuo to obtain 5-epigentamicin C1 sulfate.
