Vorschrift

A mixture of the product of Example 3 (9.5 g, 0.051 mol), bis(2-chloroethyl)amine hydrochloride (10.6 g, 0.06 mol), and potassium carbonate (8.3 g, 0.06 mol) in anhydrous dimethylformamide (30 ml) was heated at 110° C. under argon. Further addition of bis(2- chloroethyl)amine hydrochloride (5.5 g. 0.031 mol) and potassium carbonate (4.2 g, 0.031 mol) were made after 7 h and 16 h. After another 6 h,the reaction mixture was poured into dilute potassium carbonate solution (400 ml) and extracted with ether (3×300 ml) and ethyl acetate (2×250 ml). The extracts were combined, dried (MgSO4), and washed with water (2×200 ml). Evaporation of the solvent in vacuo gave a solid which was recrystallised from ether to give the product (5.0 g) as off-white crystals, m.p. 177°-180° C.
