Compound 179 was synthesized using spiro[naphtho[1,2-b][1,4]oxathiine-2,4′-piperidine]-5,6-dione, 2-benzyl-2-methyloxirane and conditions outlined in procedure X. M.p.=186-187° C.; 400 MHz 1H NMR (DMSO-d6) δ: 7.89 (d, J=7.8 Hz, 1H), 7.82-7.76 (m, 2H), 7.64-7.54 (m, 1H), 7.28-7.16 (m, 5H), 4.22 (s, 1H), 4.11 (q, J=5.1 Hz, 1H), 3.38 (d, J=1.1 Hz, 1H), 3.17 (d, J=5.5 Hz, 3H), 3.08 (s, 2H), 2.94-2.76 (m, 2H), 2.63-2.72 (m, 2H), 2.41-2.20 (m, 2H), 2.02-1.94 (m, 2H), 1.92-1.80 (m, 2H). LCMS: 450 [M+H].
