Vorschrift

Irganox™ 1010 (0.24 g, Ciba Specialty Chemical Corp, Tarrytown, N.Y.) and Irgafos™ 168 (0.72 g, Ciba) were placed in an oven-dried 125 mL Erlenmeyer flask which was then capped with a septum and purged with nitrogen. Ethylidenenorbornene (35.6 mL, 0.26 mol) was added and the mixture was stirred for several minutes to dissolve the solids. Butyl ether (2.4 mL) and 9.1 mL of a 10 vol % solution of diethylaluminumchloride in dicyclopentadiene were then added. This solution is denoted Mixture 4B.
