Vorschrift

4 g dry weight of cells immobilized as described in Example 17 were added to 50 ml 25 mM L-malate in 0.1 M phosphate of pH 5.0 together with 85 μmol NAD+ and 35 μmol MnCl2. Total conversion of malate to lactate was obtained in 3 hrs. The procedure could be repeated at least five times without any increase in reaction time.
