Vorschrift

A mixture of (1S,4S,6R)-4-benzhydryl-3,7-dioxa-bicyclo[4.1.0]-heptane 28a (0.027 g, 0.10 mmol) and p-methoxybenzylamine (0.28 g, 2.03 mmol) in ethanol (1 ml) was refluxed under N2 overnight. The solvent was removed and the residue was purified by flash chromatography on silica gel (hexane/ethyl acetate/Et3N=6:4:0.2) to give (2S,4R,5R)-2-benzhydryl-5-(4-methoxy-benzylamino)-tetrahydropyran-4-ol, (−)-29a, 0.03 g (73.2%, [α]D=(−) 71.9, c=1, MeOH).
