Vorschrift

tert-Butyl trans-3-(3-nitro-4-phenylphenyl)acrylate (6.52 g, 20.0 mmol) was dissolved in methanol (100 mL) and ethyl acetate (100 mL), 10% palladium-carbon (500 mg) was added thereto, and the mixture was stirred under a hydrogen atmosphere at room temperature for 16 hours. The reaction solution was filtered through celite and the filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to obtain tert-butyl 3-(3-amino-4-phenylphenyl)propionate (5.94 g).
