Vorschrift

15 mL Xylenes was added to 6-[2-(4-Bromo-phenyl)-2-oxo-ethylcarbamoyl]-5-aza-spiro[2.4]heptane-5-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (424 mg, 0.97 mmol) and ammonium acetate (20 eq., 1.5 g). The mixture was heated in microwave at 140° C. for 60 minutes. The mixture was diluted with EtOAc and washed with sat. NaHCO3 aqueous solution. The organic layer was concentrated down and purified by flash column chromatography (silica gel, 20 to 80% ethyl acetate/hexane) to give 6-[5-(4-Bromo-phenyl)-1H-imidazol-2-yl]-5-aza-spiro[2.4]heptane-5-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (249 mg, yield 61%). LCMS-ESI−: calc'd for C20H24BrN3O2: 418.33. Found: 418. (M+H+).
