In the manner given in Example 1B, 1-(4-bromophenyl)- 4-(p-nitrobenzyl)piperazine is reduced with aqueous titanium trichloride to give 1-(4-bromophenyl)-4-[(4-aminophenyl)methyl]piperazine.
