Vorschrift

3-(4-nitrophenyl)propyl p-toluenesulfonate (1 g) and 4.1 ml of 3-hydroxypropylamine were dissolved in 10 ml of dioxane and the solution was stirred at 80° C. for 30 minutes. To the solution was added 100 ml of water and 100 ml of chloroform, and the mixture was thoroughly mixed for separation. The chloroform-layer fraction was taken, washed with water and then dried over sodium sulfate anhydrous. The solvent was removed in vacuo and 0.7 g of an oil of N-(3-hydroxypropyl-3-(4-nitrophenyl)propylamine was obtained.
