Vorschrift

A heat-dried Schlenk flask is charged with 23.8 g (104 mmol) of bis((2-methylpent-4-en-2-yl)oxy)silane (example 1) in 400 mL of dried dichloromethane, and 1.06 g (2.07 mmol, 2 mol %) of the catalyst B(C6F5)3 are added with stirring at room temperature. The reaction mixture is then stirred at room temperature for 16 hours and purified by fractional condensation.
