Vorschrift

A solution of 1.5 g of 21-chloro-9-fluoro-11β,17-dihydroxy-16α-(2-hydroxyethoxy)pregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione in 25 ml of pyridine is cooled to 0°C and 0.6 ml of methanesulfonyl chloride is added. After 2 hours the mixture is poured into cold dilute hydrochloric acid and extracted with chloroform. The chloroform solution is dried and evaporated in vacuo to 2.0 g of crude mesylate.
