الإجراء التجريبي

A mixture of 5-bromo-6-methyl-benzofuran-2-carboxylic acid (229, 243 mg, 0.95 mmol), Selectfluor (481 mg, 1.36 mmol) and sodium bicarbonate (228 mg, 2.72 mmol) in 3 ml water and 3 ml EA was stirred vigorously at r.t. for 60 h before addition of another 240 mg of Selectfluor. After further 20 h the reaction mixture was diluted with EA, washed twice with 1N NaOH. Org phase was washed with brine, dried over sodium sulfate, concentrated to dryness to give 78.5 mg of title compound as light brown wax (yield: 36.1%, purity>95%).
