5-(2-Chloro-4-trifluoromethylphenoxy)-2-nitrobenzoic acid (3.0 g, 0.0083 mole) is dissolved in glyme (20 ml) and t-octylamine (1.17 g, 0.0091 mole) is added rapidly while stirring. The solvent is removed in vacuo and the residue triturated with petroleum either (bp 30°-60° C.) and dried to give 2.8 g of product mp 140°-57° C. Anal. Calcd. for C22H24ClF3N2O5 : C, 53.82; H, 5.33; N, 5.70; Cl, 7.22: F, 11.61. Found: C, 53.50; H, 5.37; N, 6.06; Cl, 6.87; F, 11.10.
