In a manner similar to that described for Compound 12, the tricyclic bromide (300 mg, 1.13 mmol) and 4-chlorophenylboronic acid (195 mg, 1.24 mmol) were coupled to yield 2-(4-chloro-phenyl)-1,3,4,5-tetrahydro-azepino[5,4,3-cd]indol-6-one, 223 mg (66%) as an off-white solid: m.p. 250-252° C.; 1H NMR (300 MHz, d6-DMSO) δ 3.04 (m, 2H), 3.39 (m, 2H), 7.23 (app t, J=7.5 Hz, 1H), 7.58 (m, 3H), 7.68 (m, 3H), 8.10 (br t, 1H), 11.66 (br s, 1H).
