40 mL of toluene, 6.0 g of triethoxysilane, and 0.54 mmol of a toluene solution of tris-(tetramethyldivinyldisiloxane) diplatinum (0) were placed in a three-neck flask, and while stirring under room temperature, 20 mL of a toluene solution of 9.9 g of 4-[N,N-bis-(3,4-dimethylphenyl) amino] styrene was dropped into the flask. Upon completion of the addition of the drops, the mixture was stirred for 3 hours at 70° C. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure, and a lemon-yellow oil of 4-[N,N-bis-(3,4-dimethylphenyl) amino]-[2-(triethoxysilyl) ethyl] benzene was obtained. The amount obtained was 13.4 g (yield rate of 90.1%).
