This compound is obtained by reacting 1-trityl-4-hydroxymethylpyrazole (555 mg; 1.63 mmol) in dry tetrahydrofuran with sodium hydride (98 mg; 2.44 mmol) and iodomethane (0.5 mL; 8.15 mmol). Yield: 93° A) (536 mg, 1.51 mmol).
