Intermediate 4 was coupled to 2-p-tolyl-ethylamine following procedure F and the resulting product deprotected following procedure G. LC-MS showed the product had the expected M+H+ of 454. 1H NMR (Varian 300 MHz, CDCl3, shifts relative to the solvent peak at 7.24 ppm) δ 9.55 (br s, 1H) 8.1 (m, 2H) 7.6 (m, 4H) 7.2 (m, 4H) 4.4 (s, 2H) 3.81 (s, 2H) 3.37 (m, 2H) 2.97 (m, 4H) 2.94 (s, 3H) 2.25 (s, 3H) 1.75 (s, 2H) 1.69 (m, 2H).
