الإجراء التجريبي

3-hydroxy-3-aminomethyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-1,5-benzodioxepin from Example 1, Step E, (1.95 g., 10 millimoles) and 2.78 g. (10 millimoles) of S-methylisothiourea sulfate in 15 mls. of dimethylformamide and 2 mls. of water is heated at 90°-100° C. for 5 hours. The solvent is evaporated in vacuo and the residue recrystallized from ethanol to give 3-hydroxy-3-guanidinomethyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-1,5-benzodioxepin sulfate.
