In close analogy to the procedure described in Example 1, 2,6-dichloroquinoline-3-carboxylic acid is reacted with DL-2-aminopentanoic acid to provide the title compound in 15% yield as yellow needles (flash chromatography on SiO2, eluent MeCN, H2O, AcOH-20, 1, 0.3).
