الإجراء التجريبي

22 mg 2-({1-[2-(3,5-difluoro-phenoxy)-ethoxy]-naphthalene-2-carbonyl}-amino)-2-methyl-propionic acid methyl ester were reacted with 0.2 ml of 2 M sodium hydroxide in 1 ml methanol at 65° C. for 1 h. The organic solvents were then removed in vacuo, and the residue was acidified with 2 M hydrochloric acid and extracted with ethyl acetate twice. The combined organic layers were dried over sodium sulphate, and concentrated. After recrystallization from n-heptane 3 mg of 2-({1-[2-(3,5-difluoro-phenoxy)-ethoxy]-naphthalene-2-carbonyl}-amino)-2-methyl-propionic acid were obtained.
