3-Methyl-6-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)-3-hexenyl iodide [VI; Ar is 3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl, R is CH3 ] was prepared from 19.0 g. of 3-methyl-6-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)-3-hexenyl bromide (Preparation C3) and 10.5 g. of sodium iodide in 125 ml. of acetone, to give 21 g. of product as a yellow oil.
