Sodium citrate dihydrate was dissolved in nano-pure water to obtain 3.0% (w/v) sodium citrate. To the solution, Ga(NO3)3.9H2O was dissolved to obtain 1.5% (w/v) Ga(NO3)3. In addition, amino acids of varying hydropathy index were added to the solution and the pH was adjusted to 7.0, unless otherwise indicated (Table 3 and Table 3.5). The concentration of the amino acid in the solution was 1.2% (w/v) in all cases.
