0.31 g (0.0030 mol) of N-methylpiperazine was added to the mixture of 0.41 g (0.015 mol) of 2-(2′-nitro-5′-fluorophenyl)benzothiazole and 0.32 g (0.0023 mol) of K2CO3 in 5 ml of dimethyl sulfoxide. The reaction was stirred magnetically and heated at 90° C., the progression thereof being verified by TLC.
